STAYING AT
THE MISSION
THE MAIN SPACE
The spectacular double-height main space is the heart of The Mission—a wonderfully sociable place where everyone can relax together without ever feeling crowded.
There are enormous, comfortable sofas gathered around the wood burner, along with a piano, record player and large vinyl collection, table football, games, books and a 55-inch smart TV. Fast Starlink Wi-Fi is available throughout.
The room is spacious enough for a full house, but its timber walls, soft lighting and eclectic collection of art and vintage finds keep it warm, inviting and full of character. Whether you’re sharing long evenings by the fire, playing music and games or simply enjoying being together, this is a house designed for memorable group stays.

BEDROOMS
The Mission sleeps eight comfortably across four bedrooms, with an additional folding bed available for a ninth guest.
Mezzanine bedrooms
• One super king-size bedroom (1.8m wide)
• One four-poster (1.6m wide)
Both have doors, but their upper walls are open to the spectacular main space below, so sound carries more than in a conventional bedroom.
Downstairs bedrooms
• One twin bedroom with two single beds
• One flexible bedroom with a super king-size bed, which can be arranged as two single beds on request
The downstairs bedrooms are fully enclosed and are particularly suitable for children, light sleepers or guests who prefer not to use the stairs.
A folding single bed can be added to the larger downstairs bedroom for a ninth guest. Please request your preferred bed arrangement when booking.

FOR CHILDREN
Families are very welcome at The Mission. We provide:
• A travel cot
• A high chair
• A bed guard for either of the single beds
• Children’s plates and cutlery
• Books, toys, puzzles and games for a wide range of ages
Please request the travel cot, high chair or bed guard before your stay so we can have everything ready for you.

The kitchen & Dining area
The generously equipped kitchen makes cooking for a full house easy, while the
dining table seats eight comfortably and can be extended to seat up to twelve.
You’ll find:
• A double gas oven and gas hob
• A twin-drawer air fryer and microwave
• A Nespresso Original coffee machine, cafetière, teapots, kettle and toaster
• Plenty of saucepans, ovenware, serving dishes, crockery, cutlery and glassware
• A food mixer, food processor, cake and loaf tins, and baking trays
• Picnic plates and tumblers for eight
• A dishwasher and washing machine, with pods supplied for both
Tea, coffee, milk, sugar, cooking oil and a selection of basic cooking essentials are supplied.

Bathroom & Shower Room
The Mission has two bathrooms, both on the ground floor:
• A spacious family bathroom with twin basins, a WC and a memorable sunken bath, created on the site of the Mission’s original baptismal font
• A separate shower room with a walk-in shower, basin and WC
Bath towels and hand towels are provided; please bring your own beach towels.

OUTSIDE
Just off the kitchen is a private terrace with an outdoor dining table, small sofa and festoon lighting—perfect for relaxed meals and summer evenings.
A kamado barbecue and pizza stone are provided, along with lumpwood charcoal.
Steps lead from the terrace to the grassy upper garden, where you’ll find additional seating and a new summerhouse—a peaceful spot for reading, relaxing or enjoying a little time away from the main group.
The lower garden beside the house is enclosed, although determined dogs and jumpers should still be supervised.

CHRISTMAS AT THE MISSION
From mid-December to mid-January, The Mission is filled with Christmas cheer, with festive decorations throughout its spectacular double-height space.
There’s plenty of room for everyone to celebrate together—and plenty of quieter corners when you need a little time apart! The dining table extends to seat twelve, while the enormous sofas and wood burner make the main space wonderfully warm and cosy.
Cook a festive feast in the generously equipped kitchen, play games, listen to records and gather around the fire. For a bracing Boxing Day adventure, you can even join the locals for Ventnor’s traditional Boxing Day swim.
