I don’t even know where to start. This is the best AirBnb stay we have had as a family. The house was so well equipped with anything we may need during our stay and loads of lovely toys for the children too. Harriet was extremely helpful and communicative.
There were a few things I’d like to mention as they were a big deal for us - very comfy sofas, very comfy beds and nice bedding with lots of extra blankets and pillows. Harriet provided a travel cot, bed guard and corner protectors for us too knowing we have young children which was very thoughtful of her.
Extremely well equipped kitchen which is great when staying in to cook for small people. Fabulous childrens toys and books to keep the small ones entertained. Lovely garden to sit out in the evenings.
The record player was a lovely added extra as well, we enjoyed having a dance around to some Motown classics in the huge living room.
I just can’t recommend this place enough. We will be back next summer for sure! Thank you again!

Amazing house with everything you need and lots more. The welcome pack was a wonderful surprise too. As the weather was rainy and we stayed in in the evenings we amused ourselves with the games, Wii and huge selection of records. We all slept like logs due to the amazing fabulous mattresses, the quietness and gorgeous linen. If you fancy a bubble bath this is the perfect location too 🛀. Our family meals made it easy as we had everything we needed in the homely fitted and well equipped kitchen. We had a fabulous bonding family weekend and that’s also thanks to the amazing “mission” 🥰 definitely highly recommend this amazing place and will 100% return 🥰🥰 really felt home from home 🏡
This is a fantastic place to stay, we all loved the retro quirkiness and superb comforts - so many lovely places to sit and the garden area is superb. The grown ups particularly liked introducing the kids to the delights of vinyl - and some ‘retro’ dance moves too!

A beautifully created space, everything you could possibly need is supplied. Extremely comfortable and relaxing to be in and such great taste. I can’t recommend more highly.

Can't fault this place! The Mission is a really quirky building with an interesting (slightly sinister) history, which has been transformed into beautiful holiday home by its new owner. The furnishings and beds are super comfortable, the communal spaces are really well thought out & all holiday needs have been catered for (from vinyl to books, excellent wood burner to puzzles). We loved all the thoughtfully chosen decor too - it feels comfortable and homely as well as stylish and chic.
Weather was a bit rubbish so we didn't go very far, but we found a nice cliff top walk close to the house and a very nice pub round the corner.
Highly recommended.

Thank you for a wonderful time in a memorable and special place. The children love discovering the games, toys, football table, the sunken bath, the floating bedrooms as well as the swing in the lovely garden. We enjoyed this stunning property with quality furnishings, generous amenities and amazing attention to detail. We would definitely love to return.

We've just spent new year at The Mission (recently under new, even more stylish ownership) with a family group, and had a fantastic time. The weather was pretty poor, but it just gave us more excuses to stay inside, warm, comfortable and relaxed. The space is big, with lots of different areas for people to hang out, chat, cook, eat, play (huge number of games, puzzles, books, DVDs, etc), read, relax, sit by the big wood-burner, play the piano, table football, watch a movie, play a record (remember them?) or sleep. It's a really lovely mix of vintage, retro, modern comfort and quirky fun, in a unique and fascinating building. A few minutes walk takes you to cliff top sea views and coastal walks in various directions. Enthusiastically recommended, and we will I hope be back ourselves.

We stayed at the Tabernacle for 3 nights. I can only say the place is fantastic. Super quirky, amazing decor, unusual rooms - the mezzanine bedrooms certainly a talking point. Overall a great conversion of a unique building, to give a homely, and comfortable space.
The additional surprise was the outdoor space. Outdoor dining (sunny breakfast spot), BBQ, sunbathing, and a great secluded garden.
We’ll definitely be booking a return visit.
Wow - what a magical place. Genuinely lovely and so much fun. There's a family and dog friendly pub 2 mins walk away. The world's oldest adventure park a minutes drive away, and a brilliant beach for fossil hunting five mins drive away + so much more. Most importantly though, being in the property is just brilliant. My kids didn't bother with the TV once, even though there is a lovely TV there with all the Chanel's you'd want. Instead, they played many of the board games on offer when they weren't playing table football or reading some of the lovely books. The place is beautiful and felt like an adventure for all. I'd book again in a heartbeat and will be recommending to anyone looking for a brilliant break.

The Mission is a wonderful place to stay, just like home from home, lots of vintage quirkiness which makes it so interesting, you never know what you might come across, there are so many lovely things to look at. A lovely well equipped kitchen with everything you need. Would 100% recommend staying! Loved it.

Fabulous holiday house with so much space for 8 people. The vintage decor is totally perfect, and everything is really comfy and so well thought through. Loads of games, table football and jigsaws and lovely beaches nearby. We shall return!
